Return to all recent trip

The first day was Vallée Blanche day. A good snowfall the day before set us up with good conditions.

Boot top out of the gate, things look promising.

First tracks! A rare and beautiful thing on this most popular of descents.

The new snow was lovely.

We work our way down past the Géant icefall.

The heat is on now in the lower reaches.

On the train back home.

On day two, we headed over to La Clusaz in the Aravis. We are headed up toward the Trou de la Mouche (the fly's hole?!)

Nice looking tracks, but not too many of them!

Arriving at the high point on the ridge crest.

Not too shabby.

Finding the freshies.

And a few more!

The snow got a bit heavy by the time we were down, but still very skiable indeed! A couple of Spring skiing days.
