For the ridge descent we bundled up warm on this very cold day.

Again, not too many skiers to compete with us on this mid-winter day.

Starting out down the upper slopes, looking southward toward Italy.

We had first tracks down the Petite Envers, in excellent snow.

Mustn't forget to stop and take in the great high-mountain views.

We negotiate a couple of steep and tight passages...

Then enjoy a bit more freedom to ski the open slopes of less-tracked snow.

Admiring our handiwork.

Lower down we re-join the greater numbers coming off the "classic" descent route.

The Dent du Géant looms above as we cruise down the easy lower glacier.

With somewhat light snow cover at the glacier's edge, getting off is a bit delicate but quite beautiful.

A pause at the buvette, and we're off through the woods to finish up.
