Climbing on the North Buttress

In this photo, Chris Kulp is climbing easy terrain on the North Buttress of the Aiguille du Chardonnet. This is a very fine route, and, according to the guidebook "...many parties consider this to be one of the best mixed climbs in the Alps."

We had a perfect day for this climb, great weather and wonderful conditions. The Chardonnet also is the home of the Forbes Arete, another Chamonix are classic. It is one of our favorite peaks in the area.
