Kate and Sophie touring above Lac Cornu, Aiguilles Rouges, Chamonix - February 10, 2012.

Flash update:

What you've heard is true; the Western Alps are having a record-breaking snow year with snow depths above 170% of normal throughout most of Switzerland.

Conditions at all elevations have been really good in the Chamonix area and nearby in Switzerland, and it's been a truly epic winter so far. Best of all, the deep and well-structured snowpack has set us up for a fabulous spring of fat conditions on the high glaciers for our upcoming hut to hut tours. And we still have some space available, so it's not too late to grab your skis and get over here!

Check your calendars, let us know if you can join us on one of our tours this year:

Silvretta • March 14-20: wide open!

Ortler tour • March 22-28: 2 spaces available.

Chamonix to Zermatt Haute Route • April 1-8: due to a recent cancellation there is one space available. 300€ off the regular price for this spot!

Chamonix to Zermatt Haute Route • April 21-28: 6 spaces available
.

Kathy almost up to the Col d'Emaney, Les Marecottes, Switzerland - February 2, 2012.

We hope you can come over and enjoy one of the best winters the Western Alps have seen in years.

Happy Skiing!

Kathy and Mark
